Owen is currently a natural heritage zoologist at the Oklahoma Biological Survey (OBS) where he focuses on projects on amphibian and reptiles. Before Owen's position at OBS, he obtained his Master's degree at Oklahoma State University where he worked on green treefrogs and crawfish frogs. Much of Owen's worked has been focused on understanding amphibian responses to climate/environmental change.
